Hi,

I am Elizabeth Raquel.

In May 8, 2008, officers and members of Sto. Domingo Associations Worldwide (USA California, Canada, USA Hawaii, Italy and Spain) met together at the Sto. Domingo Town Hall, to discuss what could be done with the Funds we raised during the year. Our hard working Sto. Domingo Associations Worldwide members raised 1,329,600.00 Pesos with USA California’s overwhelming contribution of P868,200.00 followed by Canada with a contribution of P212,400.00, USA Hawaii, P198,000.00 and Spain, P19,000.00.

I started this blog to gather the opinions of all the hardworking contributors who made this possible. Please feel free to post your comments about which of the following (three) 3 projects would make the best use of our money.

1. Lamp Post along the towns’ highway

2. Build a library

3. Garbage Dump Trucks

Entry filed under: Project.

I was in Sto.Domingo’s Town Hall uploading pictures to the website and I heard the group discussing how to best spend the donations.
The debate was heated and I am glad to see that this blog will give you the chance to hear from all your contributors on the subject.

    Hi everybody,
I am Elizabeth Raquel the founder of this blog. Let us try to get together through my blog so we may be able to reach our goal.

Mayor Filomeno “Butch” Tadena will be able to read our opinions and will of course be able to know what we want to do with our hard earned money.

I am in favour of using the money raised at the Sto. Domingo Arangkada Global Reunion for building a library. I think it will benefit the majority of people, not only the students and teachers but also to everyone, for better literacy. I know the money won’t be enough, but let’s start to unite all the associations together and make it happen. Anything is possible if we work together as one!

    Greetings from California !!
In response to Ms. Elizabeth Raquel’s blog, we too are in favor of the construction of a public library in the town of Sto. Domingo.
In doing so, I strongly believe that it will be very beneficial not just to the underprivileged school children in our town, but also create an even promising future for out townmates.

Hi there, I hope someone can update us on the status of the project to be done from the proceeds of the Arangkada International Global Re-union in May 2008. It was mentioned at our last SDCA meeting on July 13 that building a library is no longer an option due to no space availability. Do we have any other choices/options other than dump truck and street lights?

Hi Beth, I think our Mayor and the rest of our public officials knows what’s the priority needs of our kababayans , for the safety of everyone, with the growing crimes, drug addicts around town proper they need extra street lights, i think this will benefits everyone for security reasons.
